Hello
Had a quote from a reputable garage to fit a new clutch for £349.50. That includes parts and labour.
Does that seem like a reasonable price? I've had a search but most threads are about how much clutch's cost etc.
Thanks

clutches cost in between £50-£100, try and pay around £100 for one the it should be a good quality one, saying that i payed £60 and mine seams fine
id say book time to change a clutch is 3 hours and its around £35+vat for an hours labour which adds up to £126
so id pay around £220-250 for a clutch change
like i said i payed £60 for clutch and payed someone off here to fit it for £100

well on auto date it says it will take 4.6 hours to change a clutch in a saxo. how much are parts ? howe much do they charge per hour for labour ? there a plenty of garages that will do it cheaper if they dont have much work . just dont let them shaft you

in that case labour should be around £216, £80 for clutch, £20 for oil, so £300 sounds about right but still should get it cheaper

i did mine with my dad - just doing it by readin the haynes manual - it took about 5 hours all in all with no real 'mechanical' knowledge
It cost about £80 for the clutch i think

it is straight forward to do it just two little annoying things
-make sure the release bearing stays on the selector fork when fitting box;
-and its just a pain in the arse to fit the box without a crane lol

Cheers guys. I'm going to have a ring around tomorrow and see if i can get a better price.
I want a garage to do it because i may be selling up this year and want to show that it's actually been done, otherwise i would have a crack myself.

Tried "Mr Clutch"
Can quote online..Just did one for mine for £192 Including the parts etc.
Sure you could probably get it for £110-120 if you supplied the Clutch yourself.
