When fitting a new rear hub, do you just tap it on with a hammer as they obviously have new wheel bearings and don't want to damage then. Or could you just tighten the nut up but surely this would ruin the thread on the axle?

You need to use some sort of metal drift, that wont do damage. and make you hit it on evenly!

yeah just hit it with a hammer, maybe put a block of wood on it so you dont do damage thats how i did it.
