Meh, i don't train religiously, i don't stick to a proper diet, take the odd protein shake and lots of cardio down the boxing gym. This is what i currently look like at 90kg lol (biceps arn't fully tensed there so they look even more gay) - You put me to shame!

Wish i could lose some belly fat though :(

Men showing other men pics of their body, ha ha. What's the word for that again? GAY!

I hope you enjoyed your short stay in the health and fitness section. If you want advice on how to be more comfortable with your sexuality, PM me, I'll try and help. Also, I do believe it's homosexual, gay can be used, but gay also means to be happy.

I also took the time to correct your atrocious grammar. I've highlighted the parts in bold.

Tell me do you also work the Little muscle on the front of your shoulders ??

'The little muscle on your shoulders' lol do you even know what the names of muscles are ?
My sessions are made of compound exercises with smaller exercises making up the session to focus on the smaller muscles so i know every muscle is getting trained throughout the week.
If someone wants to FOCUS on a muscle they do a exercise to work that, hence people doing shrugs to target the traps.
And why would I want to do deadlifts on a shoulder day when i do them on back day.
But you did say doing 'situps' everyday and night would give you a flat stomach so i don't wanna argue with your knowledge :homme:

No i dont know most muscle names whats wrong with that? i never said i was a pt i jsut know how to get results.

Shrugs are a wasted exercise when doing deadlifts gives you huge traps as a "bonus" all Shrugs do is give you hieght on your traps so you look a twat, really wide but have no depth, look a kite all you like mate..

Someone that dosent do any exercise at all would see results threw doing sitsups every day, are you saying you wouldnt see any at all then and buying a slendor tone is the way forwad?

McGuire86
14th March 2011, 18:21
You obviously don't know what works, since i've been logging back onto saxp recently all the posts you have said in here are complete bollocks lol.

When the fuck did I say a slendertone or whatever it's called was the way forward? The only results you would get from doing basic situps everynight and morning would be an increase in abdominal strength along with overworked muscles. You will still have the fat above it. And not all the abs would get worked, you do realise you need to hit the whole area, upper, lower, mid-section and sides ?

HMB by usn starting nextmonday

Shrugs are good for building traps, but even though not a direct trap exercise deadlifts are also very good.
After all standing straight with 200kg in your hands puts alot of stress on the traps.

Shrugs are a really good for traps?
deadlifts are sposed to be concentrated on lower back to give you the 'christmas tree' on the bottom of your back. fair enough they may 'help' on traps but nothing compared to doing shrugs correctly can do?

My point wasnt to say deadlifts are better at giving traps, More that shrugs is a wasted exercise as deadlifts give you a huge set of traps as a bi-product..

I used to do shrugs and did for about two years buts its a slot where i can do somthing else and still maintain/grow my traps threw deadlifting.

Ive also found from experiance that shrugs only give you height in traps which is great until you turn side on and have no depth looking like a "kite".

This shouldnt even be an argument. Deadlifts are good for most of your body. Its a compound excersize! But definately great for thickness from your lower back all the way to your traps. But traps are a big muscle so relying on one excersize for grow is daft.

But on the subject of traps, does everyone train them with back or shoulders?

no you newb the cuddle lock :) its the worst lol, tbh befor that fight i dont a hell off a lot mainly in a suna suit, due to me having to drop 4kg in a week, and being a lean dude it was a struggle, i mainly stick to, mma at one place then i do my weights at a different place then most off my cardio at home,

not to much off a fan off kettle bell training, i done a 4 week course on it, and didnt rate it much, i perfer super seats or drop seats on free weights.

but alot off rolling which in my eyes is the best for conditioning!, im pretty lucky to have a older brother who studies bjj and mauy thai,

I would of slipped to the left of his right arm and arm triangled the fuck out of him, then if that didnt work just bite his ear off. Full of protein! haha :y: Were you fighting semi pro yeh?

Fighter conditioning classes are the hardness thing Ive ever done. Much prefer normal resistance training. Havnt trained MMA in about a year or something now, just got really into my weights. I do agree though, I used to love a good roll, nothing better to get you fit. Always used to get the people who would mad from the word go, gassing after a couple of minutes ha. Learned not to do that myself after a while! hahaa I remember tapping out from a bar choke in shear exhaustion

He has both knees in and was parwning out so i needed some grip after that i reversed and went into side control, ive never been a fan off the boxercise and mma fitness classes as they are just trying to sell the name rather than calling it a circuit, pro am fight club do very good spinning sessions, but i just find my cardio is a hell off alot better when i do 4x5 min off constant rolling, keeping busy, and sparring again people. this just my personal opional tho.. im sure there are classes which are very good.

yeah i mainly focus on my weights now, for summer i just want to stay pretty lean and ripped, i love mma, but i want to learn more wrestling befor my next fight, as in this one i got the only take down but it was far from a slam, plus i went from having him in a standing gilitine (spelling) to a take down, to side control.

Its also funny, how there isnt really a person in this pre season cut that really needs to cut lol.

"Pre-summer cut"

My diet sucks, i eat so much shit but i get enough protein, cardio and water in to keep me from being a bloater. But i eat all sorts of crisps, the odd fizzy drink, alcohol, chocky etc

I just can't keep to a good diet as most of "Good things" taste like shit and leave me gagging for a enormous packet of crisps and a jar of nutella. Also with "Healthy" alternatives i just can't seem to eat enough of them to fill me up. Any help anyone?

Slow down mate your losing it too quick! But good effort your obviously dieting hard.

Just aim for 2lbs a week loss. Anymore and you will be burning muscle! Remember your BCAAs aswell, important when cutting to try stop catabolism.

Kenco
2nd April 2011, 17:46
Yeah to be honest i never expected to loose this much in such a short space of time, it just seems to have peeled off. i guess my fast metabolism and body type are helping me out here! (before i started training i was a skinny ecto) i'm keeping my protein intake to about 300g a day to avoid any noticable muscle catabolism, and of course, supplementing with alot of bcaa's and glutamine to further prevent muscle loss, i'm cycling carbs throughout the week, i'll just keep trucking on, i guess everyone looses weight at different rates

You want help? Dusher has told you already, squats and stretch hamstrings. Stretches for your stomach would mainly involve pushing your hands above your head as far as you can and pushing your legs out as far as you can at the same time, and just warm up in general.

As for your lower stomach, anything that involves using your legs generally seems to work those muscles. If you are going to use a gym, then usually hanging from a bar or using one of those pieces of equipment where you can rest your arms on pads and hang is good. Keep your legs straight and raise them until they are horizontal, or even higher if you can. Could try doing an air bike as well. Avoid crunches, will probably only serve to hurt your back. Plank is always good as well. Knee raises etc, lots of info can be found on that bodybuilding.com site mentioned below.

To be honest though, your stomach may just need tucking in, which as Dusher said, may involve stretching your hamstrings and hip flexors as well as strengthening your glutes and abs. Look at that link below, I'm not saying you have lordosis of course, but following some of those exercises may help. Could also look into performing stomach vacuums as well, but they are a bit extreme in my eyes. If you want anything explaining in more detail, I cba, google is your friend and you will probably find instructions on how to do most of the exercises via google or www.bodybuilding.com in the "fun" section I think, and there is an exercise section.
http://stronglifts.com/lordosis-why-it-causes-lower-back-pain-how-to-fix-it/

Basically, when you are thinking about your abs, just remember that it's your core and pretty much everything revolves around it and working on your stomach may not be enough as many things contribute to it.

Oh my days, forgot to mention that "toning" up will involve you basically having a better diet as you've already mentioned, but general exercise to burn fat will have to do for that. Plenty of posts on here saying how to lose weight and what kind of exercise to do, but just remember that you can't target an area for fat to come off, it will just come off everywhere.

3000th post, over n out.

Yeah Haz, I think I have it quite bad, it's not good at all. Tonto mentioned it on here a while ago as well, wonder if he ever made progress with it.

I dont think anybody cares that top of your list of priorities is 'getting blasted with my mates' its more the fact you try to put other people down for not feeling the same. Theres nothing wrong with trying to better yourself.

Most of us do both anyways... Just takes hard work and dedication that most lazy cunts cant muster.

I've dropped around 9kg since i started my cut, started at 96kg, now 87kg, just 3 more weeks using Anabolic Designs Shredabull and Taurotest, then its back onto a steady bulk through summer, only going 200/300kcals over maintenance, and keeping all food clean, if i start to gain too much body fat i will cut again for 2 weeks or so, but i think i started this cut too early.
heres my transition since i started:
