When do you get the pain? Straight away or after a few reps? What sort of pain? How long has it been going on for?

Sounds abit like tendonosis to me mate. I would say lay off the weights for a little while. Then in a week or so lift some lighter weights until it feels comfortable and don't be to hasty to lift huge weights. Its much better to have good form rather than struggle with heavey weight. Also if you have had tennis elbow before I would look into gettting a strap for your arm mate to give it abit more support.
Mainly though don't lift weights that are too heavy for you!
