well i recently have gotta a lot better income so going to get into gear with the saxo and ring these insurance companies rather than using the go compare site
for a 2000 x reg saxo furio no mods
so i check my go compare based on me a 18 year old male no no claims based on having passed my test a month ago, i am keeper , owner and main driver , with my mum and step dad both with 9 years no claims each (they need to be on it as mum will use car to go shopping mondays and step dad on it as he will only pick me up from town when i drunk in my car as he doesnt want me being sick in his if i am lol )

results come out with admiral as cheapest - TPFT £2,650 which is resonable considering been getting quotes of around £3600 on my own so okay then i can deal with that
but no i want it cheaper so i phone admiral and im on the phone for around 20 mins and he bases the quote on the same details as above with mum and step dad on it too and he says it will be £5250 TPFT what the fuck lol i sy well i just did a go compare and it came out half that price he was like well that seems a cheaper way to do it lol it doesnt make sense as its the same company thats getting the cash and will be insuring me just i get it cheaper if i dont waste my time phoning them ohh and i got it £376.11 cheaper as i changed it from being locked in my garage to on my drive way lol

fuck me thats steep im 22 with a MK I vtr an i only pay £46 a month with 3 years no claims an 6 points best thing you can do is tell the incurance companys that you are a librarian an watch th quote hit rock botom or put it on your mum and dad incurance as a name driver for a couple of years an build your no claims up mate :y:

Comparison website are bollocks, they make you put in minimal details and then make 'assumptions' about the rest of the premium. Thats why the price changes when you go to the actual website or ring them up as chances are, one of the assumptions they made is not true so changing this will increase the price.

If you look there will be a tick box somewhere that says 'I agree to these assumptions'

Also, Admiral/Elephant/Bell give resonable prices if you pay yearly, try and pay monthly and see what the price increases too......

thanks guys i know its steep and yeah about a year ago i could have got insured on a vtr for £1800 but now insurance costs have gone up and just seemed really weird but thanks for the advice on who to ring , i dont mind paying £200.00 a month as i can afford it but i would love to have to pay like £150.00 or less but dont think its going to happen

fucking hell....my first car was a corsa c (1.0) and i paid 800quid a year when i was 17 on my own insurance! even tho i dont have any no claims (cos i drive like a bellend lol) my vtr costs me 1100quid to insure. im 19 and have 0 ncb. im with admiral, seemed to be cheapest at the time. but yea, i swear they make up prices. my mate who has a bmw m3 is 19 and got his insurance for £890!! they quoted him over the phone £2890 so i think somebody missed out the 2 at the start! you never know, u cud get lucky like him!!! lol
