Car crash Thread :[

Well I was drivin on a downhill around 35~mph [dual carriageway] and the road is quite bendy with cars parked on the left side and I realised the road was quite slippery so I slowed down ...


the next bend came up and I pulled my steering to the left but I didnt feel it go left and suddenly it mounted the curb and went straight into a lampost :[


all happened to quick for me too realise what the hell had happened..




Anyway heres some pics of the car... The car does start up first time.. but it struggles to move forward a bit but im guessing thats because the wishbone been pushed all the way back and is causing the tire/driveshaft to grip inside the body...


I realised I would need these parts
*Drivers side wing/arch
*Drivers side wishbone
*Airbag
*Single vts alloy


Anything else I should look out for? [ by the way front bumper and bonnet hasnt had a single touch :) ]

Oh btw and would I be lookin at changing the ball joints and anything connected to the suspension leg? How much you guys reckon it would cost to fix it :]

Your ok that's the main thing. Saxo can be fixed/replaced not like there rare.

would you guys think I would have to look at any other bits? would it affect the engines life that its taken such a hard hit?

Yeah I guess soo.. Gonna do the wing etc myself and just get the wishbone done properly and get it checked out by some garages before I take it on some mad missions :]

Even just a mechanic to look over it and then work out part prices etc.. One plus of a saxo is getting parts is very easy and cheap enough

Airbag went off soon as I hit the curb and I couldnt see the lampost infront of me... if the airbag didnt go off I possibly couldve dodged/avoided it :[

You might get away with that, could be just a wishbone, but you have to get under and have a look.
Might want to check, track rod end, droplink, wishbone is defo bent. The rest is cosmetic. Could get that repaired withing a couple hours if not bent the chassis underneath.

ouch, just gotta make sure that the chassie leg isent bent, if so its a write off bud :/...heres my 1st crash :(

3monts after passing (3years ago) 90 into banking once, twice...spin around at 180 degrees, down a hill side ways on 2 wheels, and landed on that wall behind the car, and just rolled off it and finished up like that lol...not a mark on me or my mate...never drove that stupid again :P

I just got a Colt after 2 Saxos (both crashed) and a 106 ...I can't risk it anymore lol, 2nd one wasn't too bad but the chassis was damaged badly :n:
