Why do alot of people have this understanding that when they modify their cars it makes then worth more...f**king retards make me laugh! It actually de-values the car when you change it from standard (people on here might not agree).
Typical example - If someone buys a car for £1,000 and spends £2,000 modifying it...then adds another 8,000 miles to the clock it won't be worth £900 let alone anything above that!

completely agree with the first half but your wrong on the second half bud, if you modifiy your car to an extent say putting iTB's or some sort of bosst on the value of it will go up but you'll never recoop the cost of the modifications and will always make a loss.

Every modification devalues the car no matter what it is. I read an article once in a Max Power magazine about a clio that had over £7K spent on it and in the article it said how much the value of the car would go up and its the same on here, people saying iTB's or cams will increase the value but thing is...it wont! Back in the day it might have got you a little extra cash but nowadays its all about emissions, MPG and standard cars. If I was looking to buy a car and it had either a kit, or engine modifications I would be put off immediately.
