Best sites for Private plates?

Just wondering what the best sites are for checking out availability, pricing and buying of private plates. Never had one before so I'm groping in the dark here :err:

Theres lots of other websites about which appear to be cheaper, but then you have to add on transfer fee of £80 and it actually works out at more than from DVLA!

He said it depends on the duty manager as theres a dodgy one
