View Full Version : Glue'ing Badges on

I have a set of rear badges in black which I went to put on last weekend.

Upon taking the old badges off it appears a previous owner has glued them on (pins must've broke) so I now have a few marks where the old badges were and a few glue marks.

I tried putting the new badges on as all pins are intact, but appears as though the holes are too big so they just fall out. Now either someone else has drilled these holes bigger, I'm missing some sort of clip that holds these badges on or the size of the pins changed over the years.

Other problem is the the 'Saxo' badge previously has been glued on in slightly the wrong place (5mm lower) so if I was to pin the newer 'Saxo' badge in I'll have marks, therefore I am going to break the pins off the back and glue it on....don't really want to but I'll be left with sightly marks.

What glue is gonna be best to keep these badges on ?
Any idea if the hole or pin size changed or am I missing something ?

I used tigerseal on mine, but superglue gel is also good because not only does it bond but the glue doesn`t run down your paintwork.Double sided trim tape also works.
