I've found a Clio for sale thats a cat d, the damage is..

Missing d/s wing mirror.
o/s headlamp is loose.
Back bumper has a scuff mark and clips on one side have came off.
Passenger door and just below has a small scuff/dent.
Boot has a small dent which could easily be pushed out.
And finally the air bag in the drivers seat has deployed.

If I replaced the d/s wing mirror, secured the head lamp properly, and secured the back bumper correctly would it go through a mot ?
Or would the car fail due to the drivers seat air bag being deployed ?
I could tuck it back in and get it sown up for the time being, if that would help.

It can't fail on the dents on the door/boot can it ?
Where there's no sharp edges and it isn't compromising the safety of the car.

Sorry for rambling on just seems like a good buy

Found a bumper for £25 + P&P
Wing mirror £19 Delivered
Headlamp free
Boots free where it will easily push out only a small dent
Passenger door will be replaced not sure how much..
And will have to be drivers seat im guessing.

Cheers :y:

Any idea about the seat air bag ?
Thats my main concern, everything else is just a case of securing things properly till i find replacements.
Except for the wing mirror, and the seat.

why not change the airbag too?
they dont come into the mot as far as im aware but would help the sale of the car

From what I've read up it would be allot easier just to change the seat ?

If the airbag itself was cheap enough and I could find someone to fit it at a reasonable price I'll do this no chance I'm messing about with them.

I plan on putting it back in perfect condition in the end just need a car asap for work, So I'll be doing what it needs to go through a mot then sorting the rest out after.
Cheers
