I've got this multigym arriving next Tuesday - http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/3357891/Trail/searchtext%3EMULTIGYM.htm
I've been dieting for a couple month now after putting on like 2 stone when i wasn't working
Never done weights in my life but am naturally strong and have a decent build, but driving machines at work i get no exercise and no chance to work muscles really so bought this
Not wanting to get huge or anything as my main aim is to lose like another stone of weight/fat and at the same time build my muscles back up to what they were and maybe more
Can't be fucked going jogging or anything but would work away on this thing no bother aswell as a few sit-ups or whatever you think would work well?
Don't have a clue about what to do really so wondering if anyone could work out a weekly routine for me based mainly around this multigym thing
Also looking for some cheap supplements that would benefit me that i ideally need, Omega 3? What else? Just something simple, have had a search about but most answers are based on people who are right into it and taking everything necessary
Cheers br0's :y:

The equipment should have a book on exercises. 15mins is not a great length of time so just dont one great full body superset. (all the exercises in the book one after another, no rest, light weight lots of reps)
Once your body gets used to this then try a split. (which I think again will be hard with that machine and your time limit)

Didnt realise it came with a book!
That sounds fine to me i could maybe stretch to half an hour every other day.. And i will beast it aswell so im gettin a good workout
Would it be ok to set to a comfortable weight for lots of reps then for the last 5 mins put it alot heavier for bigger weight but less reps?
Any other equipment i could buy cheap that doesnt take up much space, was thinkin bout gettin an exercise bike too?

They normally do anyways. Just do everything slow and controlled.
Id do something like 4 circuits of 15reps on each exercise. With a little rest between circuits.
Get free weights, a bench and a pull up bar. Which is actually what I would have suggested instead of that multigym.

Free weights as in a bar on its own? Youre making my multi gym sound shit lol, i thought it seemed alright and it has a heavier set of weights than the more expensive ones, good reviews too
I might buy a few weights as my mate has a spare bar, not sure what size weights i should get for it, a mixture maybe, 10s 7.5s and 5s?
Cheers for the advice lads

Multigyms normally are pretty poor. But thats just my opinion. Ive always preferred free weights.
Yeh get a set something along the lines of this:

I prefer cast iron weights but they cost more.

Cheers boys those both seem pretty decent ill bookmark them and buy in a month or 2 once im used to working out

Any idea on supplements? Maybe just omega 3 capsules and whey protein? Is the protein stuff fattening? Would probably only use it on the weekend workout
Cheers for the advice!

protien is only for a shit diet, you dont take it, and get big on them days, so unless your gettting the right protien/carbs/fats during the week, but not weekend, i wouldnt bother with it.
your not wanting to get big, and in my opinion, if you eat clean, you odnt need any supplements.
my advice, is as said, circuits, even superset, so get yourself a bench, bar, dumbells, and if your roof isnt to low, a skipping rope, and learn to jump rope properly.
the more weights you lift, the quicker you will shift fat. but as youve said, 15 minutes is a short workout, so your restricted in what you do, but obviously rest periods will be very minimal.

TBH i probably wont need to rest, unless its necessary? I will be able to beast the weights no bother, unless you recommend a short break between sets?
At weekends i'll have loads of time to do them, just as much as until i hurt or get bored! So hoping i can dog the weights at the weekend and then through the week is more of a rest period but whilst still doing weights and improving muscle
If i don't need to take anything with it then that's sound! Cheers dude

Multigyms are shit tbh, you should of just got a decent bench and a load of free weights for ALOT cheaper and the results would be so much better aswell.
I don't believe in machines anyway, never use them just use free weights.
15mins a night wont do much atall really, you need to be trying for 40-60mins each session. And everynight isnt the way to go either, your muscles need rest..
4 nights a week would be better, working different muscle groups each session.
Dont worry about supps till you get your diet sorted. 4-6 meals a day of lean protein + decent carbs. Drinking lots of water, leave out all the junk food, fizzy pop crap for a sunday.

My diet is sorted i don't eat any shite now and only drink water through the day and a glass of diluting juice at night
Reason i said 15 minutes is because i'm up at half 5 every morning, and don't get home til just after 8 at night, by the time i have my dinner and a shower the night is fucked! And after a long day i'm nackered, but i would manage 15 to 20 minutes a night
With such a short workout do you reckon it'd be ok to do it every night, might not need rest?
And i'm not trying to get huge or anything, just trying to build a bit more muscle that probably gets lost from not exercising through the day! Main aim is to lose weight
