Hi guys, I bought some H.I.D lights off Tom Hine off here last year, and in October they broke, seeing as they were under warranty I thought i'd get a replacement ballast from him, as I found it it was definatley the ballast that had broke.
Unfortunatley he has been messing me around since October and has told me dates and then put them back. He has now told me I will have to wait until the end of March to recieve a ballast, which I think is a joke when I paid good money for them and there under warrenty.

Just wondering where I should go from here? Anyone know where I can complain too etc to try and get something out of this? I didn't really want to write a thread on a fellow Sax-P member slagging them off but he has been such an unpleasant guy to deal with that enough is enough now.

Thanks.

Think of it as a bank charge mate - dead money :n:

Buy a new replacement for £12 ( 35W Slim XENON HID Ballast (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200565988627) )

I know its no replacement as such and it leaves a bitter taste in your mouth, but at the end of the day he's been the cunt, not you, so forget it and move on :y:

if you bought second hand, the guarantee does not apply. HIDs for saxo are not road legal anyway.

No, they were bought brand new, it's not even the point of money, it's the fact that there is warrenty but it's not being applied.

Then I think you should have contacted something called trading standards.

How do I go about doing that? I would like to take this further, getting my money back would obviously be great, but all I want is the fucking ballast I paid for.

get in touch with the manufacturer or place he got them from as they will be the ones who deal with warrantys
