Rear Bumper Prob.

Hello ppl new new to this, the site looks really cool. Anyway, i need some advice about my back bumper. I had a little bump and damaged the black plastic bit just under the boot door. Can this plastic strip be replaced on its own or does the whole bumper need replaced? Any help would be superb, thanks, Snudge69.

i think you mean the top of the bumper but not %100 sure

if it is that its a new bumper unless you can get it repaired then have it colour coded smileys/smiley2.gif

I assume you're talking about the rear bumper strip? If so, these can be hard to repair as they're only there for that reason (to be bumped). Haha! The bumper strips are of a textured finish and to try and have it repaired would set you back a fair bit. It might be worth your while buying a new bumper (as I don't think the strips separate from the actual bumper).

yer i had same prob with my rear bumper. the black stuff had lifted and been deformed so i had to get a new rear bumper!! smileys/sad.gif

as you can see the black bump strip has been totally deformed... in cases like this you will need a new rear bumper

iv just had a bump aswell. cant see much damage to the untrained eye but it is curved in and is to be replaced next week.
