its imei blocked, it will not be able to be used on any network in the uk and eventually Europe.
Its a stolen brick.
I found an iphone once, returned it to its owner and got a free crate of beer for my trouble.

why not just return it/hand it into the police instead of being a gyppo

Had this crazy idea that maybe i could use it as an iPod/iTouch, clearly if its blocked someone has reported it lost etc.

I honestly cannot see the point of handing it in to the police to sit in a lock-up. makes no sense.

They may not have had insurance, so even if it is blocked they could still be phone-less..

put it this way.
How would you feel if you lost an expensive (circa £400) phone.
Quite possibly it has been reported lost, however sadly society today no one gives a shit about that and just wants anything for free.

You could try looking in the phonebook for that place called.......Home and call them.
No excuse to keep a phone apart from being a gypo that can't afford to buy something yourself

I found a violin in a case a couple weeks ago in a car park in Dornoch
Picked it up, went to the police station but no one was in, so dropped it in a few days later
Someones daughter had left it by accident, and lived like 60 mile away.. Later that night i recieved a..........nice phonecall from the father, thanking me for handing it in
Didn't even ask for my PayPal or send nudes of his daughter
