Buying a saxo

Im going to see/buy a saxo furio tonight, i was just wondering if there is any things in particular to look out for/ checks i can do. Obviously check inner wings and arches in the boot for rust, drive lock to lock to check for worn ball joints and strut bearings. Any excessive camper or play in back axle.

any other tips and tests would be much appreciated :)

also check that the sunroof leaks - if it doesn't it isn't a genuine citroen.

No but did yours have a buggered axle. When the bearing go the arm and wheel twist round cause the wheel to lean in at the top

I was trying to point out that you said "camper" instead of "camber".

If it's been lowered, test drive it and check for the driveshafts knocking.

Just check it over like you would check over any car.They are just a normal run of the mill hatchback,nothing special.

Check the flux capacitor as theyre expensive to replace!

do a text check on it
check sun roof isnt leaking
check all electrics in the car and heater and vents and then drive it then test everything again and check for mayo under the oil cap and check the temp when you get back from driving if its over heating obviously not good
look for exsesive camber as you have already said
if lowered check knocking drivehsafts
check disc's and pads just have a quick look make sure they arnt near minimum
This is a bit of a weird one but when buying my saxo i had a quick look at it then i drove it for 2 mins down the sellers road and what i said to him so any little bits wrong with it then mate as im planning to strip the car down and replace everything anyway as soon as i said that he goes well the radiator has a hole in it and there was a knocking noise but that just turned out to be the spare wheel being loose/fucked lol but try and catch them out as there is alot of people who will rip you off and wouldnt think twice about it
