Don't get shot in the balls.
I got shot on the arse cheek LOL. Hurt like hell! :zainy:
Wear like jeans as they'll cushion the impact more than trackies or joggers.

Place i went to only suplied overalls, mask, and marker. Had to pay for gloves, i decided to be tight and got shot in the thumb. Painfull!
Try your best not to shoot the marshalls, a buddy shot one and he got put infront of a firing squad.

You must strike a fine balance though. Wear too much underneath and you will be sweating like a one legged man at an arse kicking contest.
You won't be cold, too much running around! Go karting is sooooo much fun as well. I went when the karts were on slicks and we had a torrential downpour with standing water all over the track. Slidey slidey!

baggy clothes are better than padded. reason being with padding you'll sweat your balls off and just end up taking them off, baggy clothes will help dampen impact and should also help keep you cool.
if you get hit square on, meh it hurts and nothing you can do to stop that coming keen, unless you have a michelin man suit on.
i was a marshal for 5 years and took three in the chest from about 5 feet away (the guy who shot me came very close to being kicked off site cos he just started firign as i walked past) they hurt like hell, but theres times i've been hit with baggies on and you don't even feel it.
the supplied guns should be all set to similar fire rates (200-250ft per second iirc depending on where you go, has been a few years since i did it though).
try to stay away form places that allow people to use there own markers, i have seen some running approx double the ft per second and they can do alot of damage (place i worked at they were banned bar special days).
shouldn't get anything worse than a blood bruise (pressure releases a bit of blood through the skin where the ball hits) whoich will last a few days and thats it.
so nothing to major

Yeah i agree with that, I have heard tales of people bringing along frozen ammo. Not sure if it's true or not.

has happened in the past, but its very easy for the marshals to spot, the balls fly different and sound different as they fly and different as they come out the gun. We used to use specific colour ammo for different days at random, so was a good chance folks wouldn't have the right colour ammo and tat makes it very asy to spot.
Also there are different compound balls for different temps specificly to stop them freezing up.
Only day that own markers were allowed were when either pro's were fighting, or we had a challenge day, aka 4 pro's vs 20 normal customers, they pros were instructed (and always did) lower the fire pressure of there guns for those days, they could still nock out 10 rounds a second if they tried lol

I learnt quickly how important it is to wear gloves when I got shot on my knuckle. Actually started bleeding and stung like shit as it was quite a cold day.

Been quite a few times, good fun, it doesn't hurt just stings a little. Don't bother wearing padded thick clothing, you would have to wear actually paint ball vests to eliminate the feeling. Go for comfortable easy to move clothing. I just wore trackys and a t-shirt then the overalls over that.

Definitely buy the gloves they're usually about £6. Smoke grenades are also a lot of fun they were doing 3 for a tenner last time I went.
Try to control your breathing when you're running about or you'll find that the mask constantly steams up making it very difficult to see anything. Also rub soap on the goggles of the mask on the inside then wipe it gently with a paper towel help stop the mask steaming up as well.

Take. Lot of money you will get raped by the price of paint.
Used to marshal at ypc and that was 7 quid for 100 paintballs.... You'll go through them supriaingly quick

lots of money. Think I spent about £40-60 both times i went. Not as fun if you have to think about how much paint you're using, so get too much if you can afford.
Smoke grenade was pretty cool and useful, but leaves you vunerable while you try to light it, the one i had did anyway.
Proper military boots if you have and fairly thin clothes i'd recommend. You get too hot in anything more and easier to run around, no fun if you are worried about getting hurt. I didn't bother with the coveralls, just took spare clothes.

take loads of cash... we spent £100 and had to miss out the last game due to having no money for more paint, gloves are need however didnt buy them as there a rip off and my hands kept getting shot, fucking kills..
its great fun and it doesnt hurt as your to pumped up.... until you leave the game thats when they sting, just wears joggers, t shirt and hoody, allows movement and there is some protection!!!

Lol i think these are forms of non lethal law enforcement weapons / security guards, bounty hunters and other US mofo. (like tazers, bean bag bullets etc)
i cant see people having full on paintball wars with them, unless they are a bit spesh :P

paintballing = crap in winter!!
your mask will steam up like a bitch once you get going and you cant wipe it in a live zone.
when i went other month i did 2 full games blind firing behind a bunker until the opposite team stormed and peppered me.
airsoft ftw. alpha-55 ;)
