Just springs at 60mm?

The reason I've been put off going 60 is getting the full kit!

I've been told when going 60mm it's suitably recommended to get the full deal with shocks, as standard ones don't like anything lower than 40mm?

down 60mm, then the shocks will wear quite badly which will mean they'll need replacing anyhow.
