Amazon Green Vts

Cheap buy at £670, good old ebay!

came with the following,
Lowered 60mm on springs
grooved and drilled discs
some sort of tacky airfilter
4-2-1 mani - pro-tech
magnex back box with 'homemade' de-cat centre section
de-badged boot
corbeau bucket seats with matching rear bench
tinted headlights
12months MOT

plan is to just tidy it up and make it fresh!
ive made a list of the following parts :)
Full powerflex bush kit
balljoints
track rod ends
anti roll bar links
set of dampers (billie B6 or group N's)
clear indicators
standard grill - DONE
Full service - DONE
Clean throttle body and polish - DONE
Engine gasket set (rocker is leaking) - DONE
Spray engine components - BATTERY TRAY DONE
Simota forced induction
Lower engine mount
tracking
remove interior and carpet to clean - DONE
new steering wheel and boss
cambelt kit
braided brake lines
wishbone rear mounts (solid)
magnecor leads
Spoox engine hose kit
IM axle - fully re-con
283mm brake set up
sort a few rust patches.

ive always been interested with these cheap high mileage saxo's especially the vts'

alot of people seem to buy them and be really lucky and not have a problem let us know if you have any major problems?

mines on 92k and i can feel its getting tired now same age as yours

Small update,
started to remove the interior to clean and repair, and also so i can sort the leaking out (carpet is wet)

Just removed the drivers seat for now, it had damage to the drivers bolster so i attempted to repair it with some cotton and a needle, didnt got to bad!

and also cleaned the seat with autoglym interior cleaner to freshen up :)

and seens as its payday ive made a few purchases;
new coilpack cover (old one is snapped)
service bits, oil , filters , plugs
stainless steel rocker bolts
sand paper
gasket maker
Mesh for the grill
and morette headlights.

Nice looking motor mate, proper bargain too, it would be worth double that in parts if you broke it!! Id spray the intake mouth amazon too or ditch it all together as it looks out of place atm. Overall though id be happy for that price!

UPDATE,
since buying the car the carpet has been wet, mainly on the drivers side under my seat, so i was thinking of the usual leaky places like the sunroof, doorseals ect. Decided to strip the interior to clean and remove the carpet, also to dry. and guess what i found :

think this could help other people that have had the same problem, atleast i know where the leaks coming from lol also scrubbed the other seats and there looking well!!

A problem i found today whilst washing the car was that water was coming in from just above the pedals,

had a look around and found that water was gettin through the fan for the air supply, which is located right next to a drain hole under the washer motor covers, so i took all the covers off and made a plastic case for the vent above the fan, and re-sealed everything when putting it all back together.

full set doesnt come with the lower engine mount you have to get that seperate

Like this mate, engine bay is look so much better, maybe pick yourself up some new buts and bolts, tidy up the throttle bodie bit will look sweet, get a nice induction kit aswell, an enclosed one would be nice! :y:

managed to get the car onto the flat surface, with out gettin it stuck this time :y: done a few simple jobs ready for tomorrow, ive cleaned the inside ready to put the carpet back in and also put the car on axle stands ready to clean the arches :clapping: oh yeah and three of the wheels had locking wheel nuts.... but i wasnt given the adapter to undo then :( so had to go old school and wack an undersized socket on them :boxing:

Also had some running problems, purchased and new TPS sensor, lambda and a fuel filter, and on tuesday ill be buying a coilpack.

A bit of an update, decided to go back to origanal lights instead of the morettes, prefered the clean look rather than the aggressive look. Also swapped my magnex back box with JOEVTRR for a supersprint one :) been around Llyn Brenig today and the Evo triangle so took a few pics.. enjoy.

how have i never seen this before!? that looks amazing tbh looks mean lol much better than morettes. on page 19or20 on my prog thread i turned to morettes then back to standard, just looks fresher imo. do you know where you can get them small plates from? or what there called?

I got the plates off eBay mate, they are a bit small though don't think I'll be using them :( yer prefer the standard lights for the cleaner look ;)

Scorpion silenced centre with de-cat brought thanks to rorz-vts, bargain at 45 of our great british pounds, purchased kam racing fitting kit so that should be with me this week, i will then have a pro-tech 4-1 mani, scorpion silenced system and supersprint backbox :clapping:

I'm interested to hear that combination. I have a similar setup to fit once ive changed my engine over. I'm not a fan of a loud exhaust, but i do like to hear it!

I have a janspeed spocat mani with no center box on my vtr now. No drone at all. Nice tone if im honest. Ive got a bad feeling im going to loose that on the 16v engine!

lol, rorz. having problems with the fitment of the centre section, cant get it to sit right and it is about an inch off the ground and catches everything :( probs just going to wack the straight through system back on.

Hangs too low, sits about half an inch from the tunnel (sideways) so it taps on it, and the back box sits crap lol

It's the silencer, probs why it had a 'homemade' system on it lol I've had the exhaust off about 10 times in 2 days, it's on now but it just sits to low, can't can't raise it cos it taps like fook lol

Right the saxo is now off the road, only lasted a month before I got sick of all the clunks and knocks, so I'm driving my polo again and keeping the saxo as a project! Started to remove the beam today can't believe one of the ARB end plate bolts were missing!http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k253/Novaload_Nick/35519980.jpg no wonder there was so much play in the beam.

Right the beams off, didnt have many problems to be fair, first time doing a beam so im happy :y: I knew the arches were pretty rusty but a prob around with a screw driver uncoverd more :n: hopefully lending my uncles mig welder and a few other bits so that i can sort it, and i spent a bit of time spraying the new beam up, dont think i will spray the trailing arms looks tidy enough as it is.

started to sort the rust out today, removed some of the sound deadening too, thinking about making it a track car at the min, i dont rearly want it as a daily as i dont think its reliable enough, so track slag? use it and abuse it :homme: what do you think? totally strip it and get it as light as possible ;)

trying steff! and rorz got about 16 acres lol ive sorted that bodge welding out, my uncles mig wasnt the best to be honest and i would trust it to do some seam welding! especially if i was welding it, i hadnt welded in a couple of years so you can imagine how it went haha thank god for seam sealer!!

mainly to stiffen it up and ive got strengthening plates to go in aswell so really want to get it done whilst the engines out andim getting the whole inside done at the end of the year when i get a cage welded in and have the car resprayed ready for next years show season
