Anyone snapped cruciate ligament in knee? footballers

How long was it before you started training again after your op? Looking to start light training again as my knee feels pretty solid but dont want to rush into things.

Never happened to me but happened to a mate in my team. He started light training again 6 months after the op and started playing properly 2-3 months later. How long ago was your op?

Edit: He had a sports therapist as well.

a friend did his playing rugby... gives me tingles just thinking about it!!! took him a while to get back into things but never played rugby again.

brother in law had his operation on his acl, went to physio and the like, he still gets pains and so fourth after a five minute kick about with warming up
