I don't think many members would of drove all of them so its impossible to compare them against each other imo.

Your better off looking on a car comparasment website like parkers if your interested in 'standard' facts and figures.

Well VTS and VTR will be the same GTI depends on the year if its got 24mm rear ARB

depends really. standard saxo's are pretty awful, a few quid sorts that though. plus the cup clios are bound to be better right?

regardless, it also depends on many variables like tyres, weather, bias ;)

Fair enough, Anyone driven both the C2 and Saxo VTS or Clio? Drove my mates C2 Code and that thing sticks like glue, but only have my old Fez to compare it to lol

thought the c2 would be a bit naff as its fat. also, its not just how it sticks, its down to roll and how it feels. a car can stick like shit to your shoe but feel vague as fuck. best bit of a saxo, i can tell when its going awry ;)

Clio 182/200 would be top tbh.

No body on here will have driven them all though :S So you won't get a fair review.

If it helps with the tweek's i made to the Saxo i thought it was just about bang on. Could have done with stiffer shocks perhaps, but that's all. I would have been happy then.

Clio 172's handle well even in standard form. Not driven a cup or trophy but from what i've read they're only better.

There are different ways of looking at handling. Generally the Saxo and 106 are the best of the listed in most handling aspects. The old Clio where quite good but all the newer ones have got a bit bloated and tall but not driven the cup or such like. The Leon was a real let down when I was driving one.

If the civic is like the integra then there is no question about the civic being the best handling.

Integra DC2 is still classed as the best handling FWD car,but i would imagine the EK9 to be not that far behind.
I used to think my old Saxo handled pretty good, then i got a Ford Puma and realised the Saxo wasn't all that. The Puma would have ran rings around it.

There must have been something wrong with your Saxo that or your driving a wide body Puma :fcuk:

No,both were factory standard.

Puma was a very capable car in the corners.Steering was nice and precise,no body roll etc and was basically a point and go car with no under-steer.Hands at 10 and 2 were enough for the tightest of corners too.

As standard, wont the Vtr/Vts/106 Gti all be the same in the handling department.

Wheel size, ride hight and anti role bars varied so there was quite a bit of deference. Generally the 106 is considered the best handling as it had the most sporty suspension as standard. Though they can all easily be modified to have the same as one another. The 106 GTI is actually considered buy many professional racing drivers as the best handling mass production front wheel drive car.

I have driven vtr and vts saxos and a c2 vts.

I rate the saxos high where as I was disappointed to say the least with the c2.

My old mk1 saxo handled pretty well tbh, like to kick its bum out sometimes though.

The new ones a beauty round corners but it's lowered & actually on some decent rubber compared to the old one

an ek9 would destroy all of those round a track handling wise unless the puma is an frp.. ive had a go of one of them and it would make impreza's look silly vertually no understeer
