Have a gender.

It's written by Chris Harris so any serious car enthusiast will know he's not one for mixing his words. I consider his and Tiff Needells opinions on cars absolute TBH.

Doesn't surprise me after reading it actually.

not overly surprising. Every single press car I have seen and heard about is different from the customer cars in one way or another. Its not just ferrari who play that game.

something thats been known for a long time.

Not like other makers dont do it, Nissan and the 'standard' GTR which no road car has got near at the ring even with ring experts at the wheels lol!

Can't imagine Ferrari is alone in doing this.. But it is a joke, shouldn't be allowed to go on, no one should be doing this, that's like saying "Yeah I have this product that can do all this, but the product you will buy can't do it quite as well, but you don't know that until you buy it because all the reviews say it can perform at a level it can't". It's false advertising really, deception.

:S. From what he says it sounds like Ferrari are the worst, makes you think about all the times they've been on top gear ;). Glad he's had the balls to say what all the journalists must know even though it will certainly have adverse effects on his career.

I do check it from time to time, but a friend linked me this earlier.

I did think the drag race between the 458 and James Mays 430 on Topgear was incredibly one sided considering there is only 60hp or so difference...
