im spraying my wheels today im just checking theres not a certain type of laquer i need? i want a nice chiney effect !

when i did my old ones i just used Clear Laquer :y:

if its out of a rattle can then the u-pol 2k clear coat will give the best finish and make them look wet. halford's clear lacquer is shit and i wouldn't use it to paint the bin it looks nice when you first put it on but the sunlight makes it fade and go dull as there is no uv protection in it.

Halfords also do something called Heavy Duty PU lacquer, I spent a few days refurbing my mums alloys and was advised to use this, I'd sprayed her wheels white however and when I sprayed this on it ruined the finish, it has a yellow tint to it as the person who wrote the review in the link below states.

I went back in and complained and got a refund and some free paint cans for the wasted time and effort, as it doesn't mention the yellow tinge anywhere on the can, chose their universal clear lacquer for redoing it as well as my wheels which were done in Anthracite, it worked a lot better with no yellow tinge and has a nice shiny finish. :) This upol stuff mentioned above is probably better though.

I've sprayed my wheels white and just used the clear laquer from Halfords, looks good.... so far
