What are the permanant options for use on track?
I've seen some saxo's on here with is it a clio style one?
Are they still available?
Another option would be a TRS strap like i have on the rear on my 106.

Si makes them for the clio he is yet to do a Saxo one, there was talk of a development one.
Whats wrong with the OE one just left in?

It sticks out a bit much to be left in all the time, i'd prefer one with a ring that hangs down.

It don't stick out to far till its dark one night and you walk in-between the Saxo front and the back of another car and 'TWAT' followed by "mother f*cking, c*nting, b*st*rd, F*CK" as you hit you're shin on it.
Swear it hurts more than hitting you're shin on a tow bar.
I'll see if Si's any further along with his tow eye for the Saxo

What about measuring from the back of the ring to the bumper then turning the back down rethreading so the ring is a lot closer to the bumper

Do they hang or are they fixed?

This is a track requirement isn't it to have one of these fitted?
not this item exact, but a towing eye that is

they do them all. We have the hanging tow hooks (http://www.kamracing.co.uk/index.php/manufacturers/omp/omp-tow-hooks.html) on the site. The others are a bit too much of a shin destroyer so have not made it a priority to list them..

for the omp strap http://www.kamracing.co.uk/index.php/manufacturers/omp/omp-tow-hooks/omp-2-tow-hook-straps-fia-approved.html, it's £10 to deliver, Thats almost the same price as the product to buy!!!!
£ 22.46 inc postage, I could buy two for that price straight from OMP distributors here http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/EB-578-OMP-RACING-RALLY-INTERIOR-RED-DOOR-STRAP-2-FIA-/350440715636?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item5197e4f574

The weight must be set wrong. Little errors happen. It will get changed today.

accidentally set at 2kg a tow strap. All fixed so there's cheaper postage or if you want a fully trackable next day service, the UPS option is available as well.

well its not a requirement, BUT if you dont have one they will just pull you out from anything they find, and ive seen them use bumpers and rip them off and even A pillars which mullered a nice 355.

is this going to be on a race car? or do you want to take it off etc?
if not then you could get a bracket welded on and a bolt on hinge hoop.
similar to this one but in hinges down.

The car will be used for road/track day & hillclimbs. I'm getting the o/e one machined at work so it doesn't stick out as much.
Dave_P

I got 1.5" machined off it.
The end result...
