My Saxo Furio!!!!

Hey, welcome to my progress thread for my first saxo a 2000 Furio! :y:

Exterior

Possidon blue paint,
Orange bonnet, M3 wing mirrors and grill,
De-badged boot,
De-wipered rear window,
Black tints all round,
VTR wheels,
Blue painted front calipers,
Lowered 50mm at the front, 70mm at the rear,
Black headlight inserts,

Interior

Standard rear bench,
Subaru Impreza STI front seats,
Blue and orange flocked dash, centre console and all pillars,
Aftermarket steering wheel,
Sony head unit, door speakers, amplifier and subs,
JBL 6x9s in the parcel shelf,

Engine etc

Standard 1.4 block,
Induction kit,
back box,

Not got any photos of when i first bought it but this is pretty much how i bought it.....

I bought the car with the suspension at standard height at the rear....

obviously it didnt look too well with the front being lowered on springs so I had a quick read up on how to adjust the rear ride height, and then set to with the spanners!

Can pull of orange with posi blue.. But the orange bonnet with huge citroen stickers and and orange M3 mirror's isn't the way to go in my opinion, the wheels and the badges however look decent.

I'd get a new foglight, a posi blue bonnet, some standard mirrors (maybe orange caps), orange chevrons on the grille (black surround) etc.

That's just my suggestions though.

Also - Get the scooby seat pics up! :).

The bonnet was like it when i bought it, including the massive cheverons, but im not too keen on it now to be honest, im thinking of re-spraying the bonnet, doing the centre black and leaving the edge orange but redoing it in Ford Electric Orange?

And yeah i also want rid of the M3s aswell, but unsure wether to go for standard saxo or 106?

Ill get some photos taken of the interior and get them uploaded. :P

Hey, another little update, I bought some leds for my dash, arrived the other day, I just need abit of time to set about fitting them, should look pretty good when i get them in, make it look a little fresher instead of the old looking standard green! :A:
I will get some photos up when i get it done, hopefully this weekend.

I have however done abit of something with the car, I didnt really like how the steering wheel looked, it just looked like there was a part missing sort of thing.

So I had abit of a ponder and then set about making something to cover the centre to try and tidy it up abit. Got an old door card I had lying around from my old nova :p as it had abit of cushioning on it, cut out a section to fit the wheel and then re-trimmed it in some black vinyl.

Only a temporary job, i will either have to do something better when I have the time or just get a new wheel!:P

nah its got the standard furio bench, but kinda in the middle of fitting a vtr bench and door cards to match the colour of the fronts!

cheers mate, i havedone another few bits and pieces with it i just need to get some photos taken and then get them posted.

yeah im abit unsure about the mirrors to be honest, sometimes i quite like them but then most of the time i want to change them to standard units.possibly with orange caps though.:p

Cheers for the comments, yeah i know what you mean with the bonnet, its not the best in the world and it's how i bought it,but ive got plans to change that, when i get it sorted i'll get photos and stuff uploaded.
The M3 mirrors i'm abit torn on, sometimes i like them other times i don't,:p but i think i'm going to swap them for standard saxo mirrors anyway with orange caps.

Sorry it been a while since ive have posted any news about how the saxo is comming on, but since the last post ive had a few changes.

Firstly i had problems with my exhaust, on the way to work one morning the exhaust tone suddenly got louder, had a quick look to see what the problem was, turns out that my centre pipe had broken at the joint to the back box,:n: so i got a sleeve joint to fix it, then about a week later, a similar thing happened and i assumed the sleeve had slipped abit. not the case! quite a sizable hole had appeared in the pipe to the back box, time for a new system then?!:A:

found a bargain on pistonheads.com for a full system.

More bad news, again on the way to work, the drivers side arch came off!!:wall: so on the way back i stopped to pick it up but unfortunatly it was trashed!:( now need another one if anyone is selling one?! pm me if so.:y:

also i need a new front wheel bearing!:cry: just seems to be bad news after bad news recently.

but on a better note i have now got new door cards and rear bench from a 1997 vtr thanks to adamf0707 :A:

Finally a bit of good news to report, got my new wheel bearing fitted on the passenger front! no more rumbles going round corners. didn't take quite as long as i thought it would so its all good.:A:

yeah mate we should, just doesnt seem to happen but it would be better if we both got the arches first then we dont have to worry about getting the position right not to see them!!:p
