as stated above do u need to have a rear wiper for mot as im thinking of removing mine but not sure if u have to have one fo rmot

No you don`t I checked 2 days ago with my MOT place,as i`ve just dewipered my spare tailgate ready to swap over.:y:

No you do not need to have one for an mot.. Newish bmw's etc come without them aswell as quite a few other cars. :y:

Halfords sell a set. Or tommy hines on here sells them for £2.50 posted i think. Or if you look in your boot there will be a little black grommit on the carpet that you can use :D

go to halfrauds and get the pack of grommets, 18mm - 22mm i think, one of them fits

with the rubber gromits, it's best to put it in warm/hot water so it shrinks a little bit so easier to fit then it will expand slightly when it cools down

All saloons, old or new, dont have rear wipers.
If you have a rear wiper then it must work and the blade be in good condition to pass the MOT, if you dont have one then they cant test it. Its a requirement to have one.

Plus make sure you put silicone sealant around the grommet to stop any water getting in,i`ve removed the washer jet as well & put a grommet in the hole.

i did get pulled up for my mot about it but they only said i should have it for my own good lol
