Hit a pot hole today, car died, had no tow eye in the car so had to call out a flat bed, scratched the bottom of the front bumper on the way up the ramp.

Problem is that the engine seems to be turning over and going in gear but just wont start. Calling garage tomorow to find out what the damage is.

+1 for the fuel cut off switch. Expensive to pay for a flat bed recovery when It's potentially just a case of pressing down on a simple switch.

Wouldn't worry about it too much, live and learn. Could be something more severe, but more than likely the Fuel cut off switch. I just kinda contradicted myself by saying it not to worry then say it could be something bigger lol.

Cost me just over £2 to go around a pothole the other day.

Mine did the same the other month, having the engine cut out at 85+mph(dual carrageway) was not a confidence inspiring feeling.

Oh no here come the sax-p police to and arrest me. It was 3am on a dual carrageway and the road was empty, hardly a hanging offence

Oh no....

SPEED KILLS!!!

Speed does not kill, the sudden lack of it does however. But there are far more worse things that kill than travelling 10mph above the national speed limit.

Photograph the pot hole you hit and get evidence from the recovery company/driver as to where you where picked up and why. Get a statement from the garage you used and send tin council the bill. Someone on here Got the council to pay for a new wishbone because he broke his one hitting a pot hole.

Go back and get a pic of the pothole, Pics of damage and keep receipts from recovery/repairs. Go to the local council and kick up a stink. They will pay out eventually.
