When my mum got her BMW she got a load of Auto Glym stuff but wasn't sure if the stuff was that great.

At the moment I have

Shampoo - Megs gold class
AG tar remover
AG bug spray
AG vynal spray
AG srp
AG extra gloss protection
AG glass polish
Gunk engine degreasant

Doubt most of the above are any good though compared to what I could get....value for money wise.

Shampoo - Dodo Juice Born To Be Mild
All purpose cleaner - Megs detailer APC or Surfex HD or Daisy (very cheap, but weak)
Engine cleaner - Megs detailer Engine Degreaser OR use APC (I do)
Wheel cleaner - Chemical Guys Diablo, Bilberry Wheel Cleaner
Quick detailer - Megs detailer Final Touch (use only if not correcting)
Clay bar - Chemical Guys (Yellow one), as good as Swissvax Paint rubber
Polish - Dodo Juice Lime Prime or Zaino Z2
Sealant - Duragloss 111 really cheap and amazing
Wax - Depends on what finish you want, Warm = Dodo Juice Light Fantastic OR Wet = Dodo Juice Supernatural or even Dodo Juice Purple Haze Pro
Wheel sealant - Chemical Guys 109 or Swissvax Autobahn (slightly expensive, but will outlast anything out there.
Glass polish - Carlack, Dodo Juice
Bumper care - Chemical Guys New Look Trim Gel
Tyre dressing - Use Above or Duragloss Tyre Dressing

I have used the combination of either Dodo Juice Lime Prime OR Zaino Z2 then Dodo Juice Supernatural/Purple Haze Pro and have used SRP with Dodo Juice Light Fantastic, ill show some example of finish:

Zaino Z2 with Supernatural:

For roughly £40 you could get Swissvax Onxy which would leave a finish like this:

Some of the other products i have mentioned for exterior have been used in all the cars at some point.

Hope this helps and not confuses you more.

Any extra wax you apply as a 'medium' coat, whatever that is, will only be buffed off and wasted. Thin coat will get some good beading, which is what you're after.
