Well after getting an exhuast and alloys, new mirrors and lavashing care and attention on my lubly saxo...
its just failed the MOT from "nearside rear radius arm, ecessive play in pin and bush"
The garage man said cheapest way is a complete rear axel from a scrappers.
Anyone got an idea how that would be ? , then leaves me with getting it put on, plus the thought, is this really worth it ?
Luckily its taxed till july so i can get away with keeping it on road outside house (touch wood)...
Failing this, anyone on here fancy it for spares, or project... its fine apart from rear axel, was in a bump years ago, but was passed okay by VOC thingy people....
if thats not an option, then i`ll have to scrap it....gutted to say the leased.

don't get a second hand one as its playing russian roulette with when it will go.
as said IMaxels is your best bed for basically a full new axel all depends on how long you plan on keeping your car and how much you want to spend really.

ones from scrpaiies are russian roulettes.
fucked axles are not the end of the world.
can pick them up from scrappies for anything from 40 - 100 quid. then someone off here could fit it for you.
IM axles iirc supply and fit them for about £400....
or get one of a well know pug / saxo breaker.

I bought mine with a fucked rear Axel.
WilliamsVTS on here did it for me.
Got a 1.0 Rear Axel for £60 done 60,000 in good condition, he painted it up for me, then swapped everything over.
Pressed in new stub pin bearings they were £50 and he charged me £80 for all the work.
So cost me £170 for everything, I had originally budgeted £300 so I was pleased and I polybushed it while it was off the car and it feels awesome.

Sorry to hear about your MOT but be careful, no MOT = no insurance so my guess would be you need to get it off the road asap, just in case. Imagine if some t**t runs in to you, you'd be left with even more of a repair job than your rear axle!
