Saxo furio insurance for a 17 year old?

I'm taking my driving test soon and have been searching around for insurance quotes for my furio, but I haven't got anything under £3000.
A lot of people on here recommended bell, quinn direct and egg. All these have gave me high quotes.
I'd be prepared to pay £2500 but no more.
How many of you 17 year olds have furios insured? and at what price?
Also how can i reduce me quotes?

unfortunately £3k,£2500 if you're lucky is about the average for a Furio at 17, insurance is stupidly high at the moment but until some 17/18 year olds stop driving like pricks it wont go down, so never. :n:

you may get lucky to enough insure a 1.2 mate let alone a 1.4

17 years old on any saxo is going to be expensive,. especially if you live in a higher risk postcode (you may do)

On your quotes, change them to be a 1.1 saxo to see if it reduces the price, that way you will know whether its the car that is causing the price to be so high

1.4 is a no go. Might aswell stop searching now, let alone a saxo. Saxo is seen as a boy racer car by insurance companies so it will be more than expected. Try get clio (old ones) I hear they are cheap to insure.

My saxo 1.1, in a nice area at 17 is £3042 at the absolute cheapest, I searched for weeks on end and rung literally every insurer. You won't get a 1.4 insured for less then £2500 lol
