i was wondering if pug gti 106 leather seats would fit into my mkii vtr and ifso wats the deal with the cable going into the arse of my two front seats

Using a small torx screwdriver undo the screw in the plasic side of the seat (same side as the buckle). Once undone you should be able to lift up the side casing from around the buckle and remove it. Then you remove the silver clip connecting the orange cable to the pretensioner and then unplug the pretensioner itself.

Then using a larger torx bit undo the four bolts that hold the seat runners down. The seat should then come straight out smileys/smiley14.gif then it is just a simple swap with the pug one! and do the reverse to fit the new one...

Once installed turn your ignition on and check the "airbag warning light" doesn't come on... if it does you have not connected your seat belt pretensioners correctly...
