boot noise problem found

my previous post i mentioned the noise coming from within the bootlid assembeley. i have found that its the wee latch inside the bootlid component that is loose. holds the boot down nb but i thing it should be tensioned when boot is open and not as movable wif my finger...


any way of repairing this myself or car into the breakers?

The catch is adjustable. Look at the lower latch on the car and see 2 10mm bolts. Slacken off a wee bit and move the lock a few mm then re tighten and re check the boot closes tightly.

ive done that and all lad. it was the lower latch had worn to nothing
