Headlight out

My 1.4 came back from its MOT with a pass certificate and an o/s headlight not working. I dont know what the connection is but it was working before the test, and Ive never had one go before on this car. Investigated and the bulb was glowing red like a heater, Put a new bulb in and it worked ok. But later same light was not working again.

Maybe its the wiring or a fuse? Are they different fuses for different sides? Where in the fusebox is it? Any ideas for wiring? The connector block on the bulb is ok and clean

its the earth thats buggered, one if mine did it and it had melted away from the plug!

get under the bonnet with them on and wiggle the green/yellow wire, see if it comes back on

Update, it turns out that the problem was two duff bulbs in a row but nothing visibly wrong with either of them. :wacko:
