I have the Wilwood "Midilite" 4 pots as sold by RallyDesign, now looking on the Wilwood site and doing some google searching, I think these calipers are actually called "Dynapro" as sold by Wilwood.

So anyway, currently running 1144's which have done me very well, but am thinking I might try the EBC Yellows after all the hype i've heard about them...

Looking on here > http://www.ebcbrakeshop.co.uk/wilwood-calipers_c34136_270056_270064.htm I think I need one of the following:

* Wilwood - Dynapro radial mount (7812) EBC Yellowstuff Brake Pads (DP4039/2R) http://www.ebcbrakeshop.co.uk/images/ebc/DP2039_2-65x75.jpg

* Wilwood - Dynapro radial mount (7816) EBC Yellowstuff Brake Pads (DP4039R) http://www.ebcbrakeshop.co.uk/images/ebc/DP2039-65x75.jpg

Not sure which / what the difference is!?

The 1144's for my caliper look like this on RalDes:

My other options would be to buy 1144's again or 1155's.

Any help / opinions appreciated :D

Im trying to order some pads too at the min. I did a search on here and 'Steve' on here mentioned the part number for theses were DP4039 but as you can see, it doesn't help much.

What do you think of the M1144's?
You running standard discs from RallyDesign? or you managed to find others that suit?

I need to order a set of discs and pads.... expensive affair

Tbh the 1144s have been really good for me, mostly track work on standard rally design disks and been really impressed with strong and consistent braking. Id be more than happy to order them again, just thought id try the ebc's as you hear so much about them!

You use the standard or drilled discs?
Well my car wont be on track anytime soon the way am going about things so i think 1144's will be fine for me everyday driving when I used the car.
Ill have to dip into my pocket tomorrow and get them ordered.

Have you worked out the difference with the pads yet?

standard plain disks, not a fan of drilled.

someone on another forum thinks it's the bottom ones, so think i'll give them a try to see how they compare with the mintex...

i dont use same brakes as you but i do run 4 pots and yellow stuffs. they require a lap to warm up but once there theyre great!!! they do work from cold but have little bite.

i pay £61 delivered for mine and value for money cant beat that. ive done 4 full trackdays on my current set and are about half worn. not bragging but i wouldnt say im light on the brakes...

i think yellows are good from trackday point of view.

Cheers stew. I tend to warm everything up for a couple of laps anyway. Think im going to try them when my mintex die.

I have only tried the yellow stuff in the MR2 that is racing as a stock car. First thing you notice is they take some time to get up to temperature. So you are expecting something special when they get there. But once up to temp they have a rather low friction level for a track pad and start to loose there bite rather quickly. I guess i should try the blue stuff some day. The Mintex M1144 is a tame ish pad more for fast road or sprint use if fitted to the front. If your after Mintex track pads you may wish to look at M1155 for the front. Personally I would recommend Ferodo DS3000 or DS2500 depending on the application. The Pagidrs range of pads are rather good as well but i still take the Ferodo as there made in the uk and just as good. The important bit is to spec the pad to your application. No point sticking DS3000 on a road car.

Id love some ds2500s but cant find them for the wilwood calipers. Used to use them on my 266 setup and they were fantastic. Rally design can order 1155s in for them so i guess thats another option to weigh up.

As for use i only use my saxo for track work so could get away with a more aggressive pad.
