Had my car standing for a couple weeks while ive been working on it, probably should have disconnected the battery but didnt think about it at the time.. anyway its a mk2 saxo vtr. When i 1st started it up it idled fine for a while (10mins or so) so i left it running to warm up the engine then it started revving itself up to about 4k revs? Ive tried taking out the icv and cleaning it but hasnt made a difference, but now its just cutting straight out as soon as u let go of the accelerator making it pretty impossible to drive because it cuts out everytime i change gears! what could it be?? thanks

Your battery has probably lost gone flat mate, Mine did it. It had enough power to start it but would not tick over at all.

just been reading some posts and if you turn your ignition on till clocks sort themselves out then turn ignition off again do this about six times it resets the icv, gotta be worth a try before spending any money, im gonna try mine now ill let you know how i go on, fingers crossed
