What is the biggest size wheel i can put on a mk 2 saxo VTR?

Not been lowered yet as unsure how low 2 go. (especially as we have loadsa speed bumps in our local area).

Local alloy wheel shop has said that 17s need major work to get em 2 fit, and 16s wont let me get full lock.

My mate has 17's on his VTR's all the liner is still in his arches and its lowerd,
but he did spend a bomb on low profile tyres,
all depends on tyres, the actual alloy size, if its been lowerd, can be a few things pal :y:

17's with a bit of work

i have 16's with a 195/40/16 tyre.. rub abit on full lock but not enough to care about lol

no bigger than 16, 15 or 14s idealy, i have seen 20" and im not joking but was madly modified, my mate had 17s scrubbed like a goodn, 15s are the best imo

Can someone tell me how wide alloy wheels should be for 165/65 R14 tyres? Are 6J wheel OK for this tyres?
