finally got around to the boot this morning

so i cut out a peice of mdf using the carpet as a template added some timber to lift it from the floor

covered in 1" thick fibre/foam backing

over with leather look vinyl

i hope this isn't a amp with a great deal of power, because then you are going to have heat issue's :wall:

Would it not have been better if you want to retain a usable boot, to mount it vertically against the wheel arches at the side?

why is the boot not useable ?
thats why i built the false floor :wall:

That purple mosfet amp looks suspiciously like an amp i owned about 2 years ago and have never seen one like it again lol. Just out of interest is where the earth wire connects all black and a bit melted? lol

no it isn't it's not a great amp either but i got it for £10 so cant argue

No, I meant to prevent any overheating issues he could have mounted it on at the side of the boot on the boot 'wall' as it were to retain the boot floor but allow air around the amp, instead of boxing it in under a false floor.

At the very least I would suggest cutting a couple of holes at each end of the 'floor' and stick some 12v computer fans in one end to draw some cool air through.

didnt wanna use the side walls as at present i have a 12" sub but i want to get 2 more 10" subs in as well so i'll need all the width i can get
