hi people,
passed my test on jan 19 and wanted a saxo vtr but insurance was sky high (£2000)so i got my mum to buy it and go on her policy. got a quote of £750 and thought not to bad. on the 30/1 i paid £130 stright away and £78 a month. Then i get letters and 4 emails saying i need to send my licence and proof of ncb. i sent these the next day and 3 days later i get more emails saying i still need to send my proof so i sent them again recorded, three days later i get a email saying my ncb car'nt be used as it active on another policy even though it was getting canceled. I got a email saying i would have to pay a extra £300 for my policy and £60 in the next 14 days. still i thought its cheaper than the £2000 so i said ok, my monthly payement went up to £112 a month. now on the 7/3 i get a letter saying my insurance was cancelled on the 28/2 due to no proof of ncb. this really is shocking as not only did they cancel my insurance they also let me drive for a week without it. now i have just emailed them and they have said my insurance was cancled from the 30/1 so that means i never had insurance but i have give them £275 upto now. from what i have learnt from this is stay away from ecar. her is a link to other people that have had the same problem. http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews103920.html please trust me stay away also there help line is £1 a minute. i have spoken to Financial Ombudsman Service and they are happy to help with my claim.
will let you know how it goes.
ps stay away from ecar if you didnt get the point
also the ncb is my mum's
