Mr Houston has one, he loves banging on about them, he'll tell you everything and anything.
Also believe "Moke" has one, worth giving him a pm.

I've got one.. Door supervisor, security guard and CCTV.. Costs £130 for training for door supervisor which is 3 days long and easy, then £240 or something for the badge to come through which takes about a month..

I dunno what details you want? lol just search sia door supervisor course on google and find one near you.. 3 days 9-3 probably and around 100-200 for the training it varies.. Then they'll give you a form to send to the SIA at the end which you'll fill in with a passport photo and send off.. Or you can get a form from the SIA website.. By the way you also need a passport photo for every test you do which I think you'll be doing 3, one each day..

I have mine. I have Door Supervisor, Security and CCTV. My Door and Security I did together which cost me £250 for the course/exams and then £250 for my actual badge. Did my CCTV only 3 weeks ago which cost me £125 due to me already holding a different SIA badge.
My security/door badge course was over 2 weeks (which is odd apparently) and my CCTV was 5 days.
My only advice is take your time with the application. One little hickup and it'll be back through your door for you to do again.

It's £500 and i think there on about doing the whole test and training in 1 day as before it was over a 3-5 day stretch.

There supposed to be getting rid of them, I work security at the moment said I hadn't got the badge coz of the cost. Said they weren't bothered since I had the certificate, been there three months now no problems.

Sorry, but size definitely has something to do with it. Even if it's just having a presence, or the ability to move a big lad on or split them up.
I'd say how you look affects it a lot, nobody is intimidated or bothered about someone who weighs 9 stone, whether you can handle it or not, nor would I feel particularly comfortable knowing that my safety was potentially in the hands of someone who looked like they would blow over in a strong wind... no offense mate, just saying what I think.
