Well i would do just about anything for them tbh, but i never seem to get anything back. One of my mates i give him lifts around and buy him drinks.What do i get from him?? Absolutley nothing!! (is this being selfish??) He doesnt even buy me a drink!! They actually left me in the pub with some randomers the night!! Like just fucked off without waiting for me!! Pissess me off to end tbh.

Sooo what about you guys??

I used to have a big group of mates when I was 18-21, but slowly found I couldn't trust any of them, there was no loyalty to anyone at all

Now I've got fewer friends, but they're friends I know I can trust and can rely on for a favour, which I do in return, offered to lend a friend £2k last week to help with his mortgage

Yeah, I used to have a big group of friends, but two of them fell out for no apparent reason and it just sorta split us up. I still like both groups but one gets pissed of when i speak to the other. I have like two friends i only fully trust really. Rest of them are a bunch of cunts really :(

Nah i dont usually taxi, just i buy a round of drinks, then who ever round it is next, they usually say "Oh im not buying, its not my round" so i end up buying for myself the whole night!!

I do agree a little with the whole dont give to recieve but in all fairness.. i do stuff for my mates they do stuff back, if they didnt give back, then i wouldnt give to them simple.

I love them to bits but i think its cos we are very like minded i make sure my friends are well looked after in anyway i can help, financial, favours ect.. if they didnt give them back then they are not your friends... but i do agree with with the whole dont give to recieve!

I'd do anything within reason... I'm a bit iffy with money cos it always seems to take a while to come back, say I buy tickets or book hotels etc, but I've always had it back eventually.

I tend to put myself out for other people quite a bit, and although I don't do it for anything in return, it pisses me off when it's clearly not appreciated. Just stop putting yourself out if you don't feel it's worth it, or you feel it's not being appreciated.

Dont worry Dave if you drive your IS to my house, give me the keys and v5 ill happly return the favour and drive you to the bus stop at the end of my road :hug:
