Been trying this out, and it looks like it should be a CoD beater. CoD has been too formulaic lately, and this is similar by way of both of them being f.p.s. Graphics are really crisp, sound is fantastic (though Im playing through a decent surround setup). Aiming is way better, you need to be accurate, but when you hit folk they go down - none of this CoD autoaim and pull thetrigger for a wee bit, release and hit autoaim again.

Not tried the multiplayer yet obv, but it should be something special.

No demo as yet I dont think. Multiplayer should go live on Wednesday I think, thats when its out in the states. No doubt there will be issues, I remember how buggy MW2 and Black Ops were before patching.

I agree though, BF3 looks jizztastic. Death to COD!

Fuck me, this game is hard. Played for a few hours, but sad to say that a few of the maps are murder if you start in the wrong place; the other team can get elevated positions as snipers, and continually pick off everyone. One of them in particular is so lacking in cover its impossible to get near them. If you send up a vehicle, someone will just switch to a hellfire and blast your vehicle before it gets near. Tried it ourselves in one game and those tactics work :(

Had a few good games last night (14:2 k:d ratio) but the games are still dominated by snipers. There was one that a guy had found a dookit no one could get near and went the whole game unkilled. People seem to be moaning on the Homefront twitter/facebook pages about snipers according to my mate.

Still seems a decent game but right now its unfairly weighted towards hiding in certain safe spots with a sniper rifle.

its an ok game the graphics are very poor for a 2011 game looks more like a ps2 game, the controls and pretty tight though more like COD than battlefield, atm there sorting out the matchmaking took me about an hour to find a game, theres not many guns either and theres realy only 3 game modes, probly a game your play for a month then get borred.

well based on single player i think its reall good. I tried multiplayer last night, but it wouldn't find any games so went back to singleplayer. Completed it, going through it collecting achievements now. I think the graphics are really good, i honestly dont see any difference in this and the cod games so i don't know what ppl are on about when they say looks like ps2 game? But thats my opinion. Worth a purchase for singleplayer and some relatively easy achievments :)

agreed, the server setup is rubbish. So much so that I got fed up with servers being "unavailable" and on the occasion that my mates and I did get a game, we'd would be playing yanks and therefore have abysmal laggy connections. As such, that and Test Drive 2 have both been traded in.

any videos i seem to watch of multiplayer, it seems really easy to spawn kill the opposite team
be it sittin as a sniper, just standin in the spawn with an assualt rifle or flyin above in a helicopter
while a team mate sits in one of those drone things marking people lol

I have now traded my homefront for Crysis 2

It's a shame the multiplayer was terrible
