dont think legal for the plates as its normally thewhite/yellow bit that reflects cut that away wont really see anything...correct me if wrong just what i would asume

and remove bottem bit of door seal then you will see little metal clips with sharp bits on the carpet just pushes onto them then reattach seal mate

the black rubber seal just lifts up and then you push carpet back onto the metal bits and then just bang the seal back on 2 second job mine always does it but drivers side

There was a thread about plates a few days ago.

iirc its legal as long as there is a 11mm edge around the lettering.

Found The Thread (http://www.saxperience.com/forum/showthread.php?t=367344&highlight=number+plates)

yh so aslong as you have some white/yellow showing it would be ok....

i think just cropping sides off looks better as going around each letter would look weird IMO

You tell him to get pressed plates, yet in the "pressed plates" thread you said you thought they were illegal, why tell him to get pressed plates if you thought that?

As long as the yellow/white backings are reflective then I guess they'd be legal. The typeface, sizing, spacing and supplier details all appear to be legal. And they're making you comply with ID requirements to get them,

I have pressed plates and live next door to a traffic cop and he said pressed plates are fine as well as long as they have them ^^^ on it and the GB symbols,

When I had a "D", german lettering and the little german stickers for tax/mot iirc? The traffic cop begged to differ lol!!

He did admit they looked good though :P
