emergency passport need one asap. help please

basically im going to austria in 2 weeks and my passports ran out. to get a possport in 7-10 days its going to cost £210 and if its not perfect they will send it back :S. does anyone know how much it costs if i travel to london and get one the same day? please help as this is urgent. thankyou.

I just went on the direct gov website and read this
''If you need your passport within two weeks, this counts as an urgent application and you will need to visit a Regional Passport Office. You must always make an appointment. Find out which service best meets your needs and what to do if you can't get to an office''

Making an urgent application - travelling in less than two weeks

To get your passport within two weeks, you will need to apply in person at a Regional Passport Office. You can use:

* the Fast Track one-week service
* the Premium one-day service

To use either service you must first make an appointment. You can do this by calling the IPS Passport Adviceline on 0300 222 0000. The line is open between 8.00 am and 8.00 pm Monday to Friday and 9.00 am and 5.30 pm on weekends and public holidays. You'll need to bring a completed application form and any supporting documents to your appointment.

The passport office is in Newport IIRC - you can get one in a day if you can get there.

if you ring the one in newport and let them know your coming and then when you get there hopefully you will be infort of a few people because of your situation like i was like 6 months ago i was going to turkey on a monday at 3 in the afternoon and didnt realise my passport was out of date till the sunday just before. so monday i got up at 4 in the morning and went to newport for 9 they took 3 and a half hours and cost me i think £95.00 to get it re-newed , then had to do what normally is a 4 hour drive in 2 and a half hours god that was a fun drive ha ha ha

i though it was in Peterborough or liverpool? but yeah i think its 100& odd pound, dont you have to be questioned and stuff just in case your can illegal immigrant
