youll have to look at a hight amp battery, it wil take longer to charge but will cope perfect with high demand from the sub and other aftermarket lits. However alarm shouldnt be an issue as unless its a remote start like mine it wont draw much demand from your battery. Speaking of which sorry for stealing thread mate but
Tonto:
My remote start feature doesnt work fully when i set it to remote start and take my keys out with engine running its fine and shutting car down by fob is fine but restarting up it will either crank for one second and fail flashing hazard light or it just flash hazzard light and not crank up at all. Is this due to having HID's sub alarm amps and standard battery is this because their is not enough power from batter to remote start? but cranking from the key work no problem. so better batter should help? or ive powered the + of alarm and tapped to amp power lead should i wire it to a differant + feed?
Thanks
sorry for stealing post again just while i was here

When was the cars battery last changed?
What is the make and model of the amp that you have?
I dont think you need a heavy duty battery as if your cars battery is old you may just need a new battery. I was running lots from a standered saxo diesel battery and didnt get any problems.

I would say the remote start problem its nothing to do with the battery on the car mate and more like the alarm, clifford alarms look at the tach wire on the car to go live when the cars engine wire is running and have to be programed to the voltage when running. From experience the cheaper remote start alarms dont even come close to clifford alarms and have all kind of problems starting and knowing when the car is running.
