Hey guys heres the deal.

Im 19 with almost 2 years driving experiecne and 1 years no claims.

I decided to stop drving September last year due to the price of running a car, at the time I was returning to college, and decided the expenditure involved in having a car did not warrant having one. So I sold my VTR and decided I would save for a year with a view to getting a Clio sport 182.

Since circumstansies have changed and my Mam now has a policy which She said I could use with her no claims, So I decided to check out the price of a cliosport in her name simply out of interest.

The quote came back as 13,000 :geek:, I then decided to check for a policy with me as the named driver and the cost was 2500.

So it finally looks like Insurance companies are coming down hard on fronting.

Most do seem to be claming down on fronting and you can't really blame them, it was only a matter of time before they did.

The cost to them doesn't outweigh the benefit
For the sake of a few genuine named drivers, they would rather lose thier custom than risk all the rest fronting

It doesn't excuse thier extortionate prices for young drivers though

+1 admiral quote for myself...20 yr old 1 yr ncb thru multi-car as named driver £1100...myself it is costing roughly £850...good for me cos I am still a named driver on my rover 25 which my dad drives now. brings the argument about that the customer service representative should really try advising the best deal rather than raking in our hard earned cash.
