Differance in wind deflectors?

Bought a vtr there recently just to do a few bits to then sell on.
One of the things i took off was the wind deflectors, when the windows got to the top on the vtr they did close but they were very slow about it as if there was some resistance, Now ive put them on the mk1 vts and the windows won't go up the full way at all unless you get out and push up with your hand at the same time.

Why would they be doing this? The mk1 and 2 are the same door/window wise i thought?
Any simple solutions?

I've got the Heko ones for MKI or II

Ensure that you angle them right and try pushing them in at an angle, had this issue with the mkII ones but sorted after a play around.

no specific issue that i noticed but the left one didnt want to sit right until i messed about with the angle buy bending it about.. it never closed proper until i had a play about.

I just opened and closed them for about 5 minutes to get the deflector seated properly. Worked fine ever since.
