am i right in thinking that if i buy a fob from a saxo thats being broken, i could get it to work on my car?

i read that maybe if i unlocked the car, then pressed the button on the new fob within 20 secs, it would link it?

maybe thats a lie...

any help is appreciated

Pressing the button within 20 seconds only works for a key fob that is already assigned to your car, you do that when replacing the batteries.

You would need to get it re-programmed for your car (code is on a card with a scratch off panel if I remember correctly) I think Citroen are charging about £40/£50 for re-programming.
