hopefully nearer the end of the month i will be lowering my car,
was just wondering peoples opinions on :-
a) manufacturer of springs
b) how low? i have a 1.1 and have 15s.
c) where to go to have them fitted and torsion bar reset (i live in kent, can travel if quality of work is outstanding)
Thanx,
Mark

Ive always en-trusted PI springs.. 40mm drop. GMC 50 mm springs seem to be a popular choice too however..

think 50mm will be too much....

I use 40's...
But you could easily drop 50mm with a set of 15's..

1.1s are very tight for clearance - my parents saxo scrubs on standard 14'' vtr rims..!

i gotta grind my arches off - make them round instead of sqaure!

thats the problem with 1.1 saxos the top of the rear arch is straight where as the vt* is rounded!

I went with GMC lowering kit 30mm(VTS) on 14s and it looks real good. I havent upgraded to 16s because Im in the 1/4 national competition and 15s or 16s would slow me down. By the way I came in secound place here in Colombia last year in my catagory (super stock) and was beaten by a big block Thundr Bird (300bhp).
