Hey, whats the grammar like in your cv's?

Just keep pestering.

Just handing a CV out or calling a place up once wont do anything, If they say we'll call you back in a week..Give it a week, then phone them up yourself if they haven't already.

Try everywhere, not just the jobs you want to do. Theres always jobs out there, but not always the ones people want.
You have to start at the bottom to work your way up to the top. :)

As above, probably because you CV dosent make sense.

If an apprenticeship wont pay for your car, but you cant get a job then you have to make sacrifices and get a cheaper car or lose the car completley.

Go and help out working at your friends places or ask busineses if you can do a few weeks work experience, mayb ask if they can cover fuel costs? You can add it to your CV as experience in ******, and if you work well in your work expereince they may offer you a contract or part time work etc

Ahh sounds like a dodgy one to me ;) lol, everyone i work with is actually pretty clever, all good grades for gcse's and a levels, and alot of people are on a gap year from studying airplane engineering and other interesting things. :P

well i got my cv done when i went bk to school one day :p.... i can afford my car when i have got a job with no problems. But its annoying how i have been not able to go out in my car until i find a new one or waiting for them to get back to me. An Apprenticeship would be good if they would pay me a good wage but most of them pay 2.50 ph for a 17 year old or something like that .

Mcdonalds from what I've heard is actually pretty good pay lol. I'm in the same boat, however I might have a 4 week job which works out at a pretty damn good wage which will get me started on getting a car again.

Some apprenticeships pay you a normal wage, but £2.50 is better than nothing and you gaining some skills to do something

Thats the downside to an apprenticeship.. you have to suffer a crap wage for a few years, before it pays off.

Working somewhere part time 16-25 hours a week would equate to around the same as an apprentice's wage. Does for me anyway, but then I sacrifice my weekends and some evenings to work. I have no social life basically... Just work, college and Ebay. :D

So you need to balance up what you'd want to do.

Naa mcdonalds is well crap, im 17 and on £4.35ph.. if your 18 its £4.85ph.. add an extra 50p too that if you work overnights, but you cant do that until your 18 anyway.

Shift managers are on around £7ph which is funny as some of the indian kitchen staff we have also work in 99p store and sainsburys where they are on £8ph lmao

If you're only 17 or whatever and cant afford a car properly then you need to make sacrifices or jus find any job. You aint gonna be getting payed loads at that age, and youll start off at the bottom. Will pay off in the long run if you do things properly now rather than getting a job jus so you can keep a peice of metal that rolls around on wheels. Sounds like your car is the priority, when it shouldnt be.
