Hey guys. I'm finally fixing up my car frm annoying little noises and was hoping you lot ould help.

When my windows open I can hear a slight noise like my wheels are catching on something. I jacked it up earlier and spun the wheel and it is catching on something but can't see what. It's not making it go any slower its just making a wind type noise. Do you reckon taking the wheels off and sanding off any rust from the brakes will help?

Also noticed a noise when I switch my engine off and get out of the car, when I close the door the enging makes a noise as though it is running on. Like a little shudder then it stops. Any idea what this is? Taking it to the garage on Monday but would like to sort it out if possible before then.

Finally, sometimes when I'm in second or third and I put my foot down I hear a slight noise. It sounds like the car is pinking but a mecanic I know told me that pinking (I think is the term) is what happens when your timings out, but this doesnt happen on newer cars so it could be the exhaust. Anyone else had any of these problems?

Cheers

brakes noise could either be that the pads have worn, or the retainer (little metal slide which holds the pad in place) has come loose or fallen out.
running on and/or pinking could be a number of reasons, carbon build up, fault in the fuel injection system etc best to take it to citroen and get it on a diagnostic computer:)

yes main dealers are always more expensive, but you could always get them to diagnose it then take it elsewhere to have the repairs done :)
