right i have wired up my sub and amp today and its as tho the lyrics are only played through speakers and not through the sub and amp is this normal or do i have to do something to change this so the words are loud too????

As long as you have some bass, the sub is doing its job, you will hardly hear any vocals as such come through the sub at all, as its meant for lower/deeper sounds such as the base and kick in a song :)

No it wont! Haha this has to be a joke. The sub is for bass only, that's all. If you could hear anything else coming from it then you've set it up wrong.

Cross over should be around 80-120hz if its adjustable

yeh on some headunits you click the volume button set the bass to 0 then maybe treble to 5 or something if you havent done the gain on the amp yet puta bassy track on and play it at just over half volume, turnthe gain up slowly untill it started to get distorted then slightly turn it back untill the distortion goes.
